The research in Corporate Finance and Regulations is driven by the growing complexities of the accounting system, corporate governance, financing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks in India’s evolving economic landscape. With increasing integration into global markets and the emergence of new-age business models, there is a pressing need to explore the interplay between corporate financial decisions and regulatory oversight. This pillar seeks to generate insights that inform policy, promote transparency, and strengthen investor confidence. Research in this domain broadly covers financial management topics such as capital structure decisions, dividend policies, mergers and acquisitions, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), New Age Finance, corporate governance, and the effectiveness of regulatory institutions such as Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. It also critically examines financial reforms, laws & regulatory frameworks, and corporate compliance in the Indian context. Comparative studies with international best practices help identify gaps and provide actionable policy lessons. This pillar aims to bridge the academic-policy-practice divide by offering empirically grounded insights to regulators, corporates, and other stakeholders engaged in fostering a resilient and accountable industry ecosystem.
